Amplification for recorders

Some DIY solutions I've built to amplifiy recorder.

Microphone for Sigo tenor recorder

Introducing an cost-effective solution for amplifying the sound of the Sigo tenor flute.

It's based on a 3D-printed piece (STL design for free) that holds a compact, economical microphone in close proximity to the flute's whistle. This positioning ensures that the sound captured is clear and allows for high gain, effectively eliminating any risk of feedback or background noise.

Example of microphone: Speedlink Spes Microphone Cravate Jack 3,5 Mm ( 15€ )

The audo-interface Rode AI-Micro manages the pre-amplification for an affordable price ( €100 ).

For added depth and fullness to your sound, the Positive-Grid Spark-GO amplifier, priced at €110, takes care of both reverberation and amplification. This compact amplifier is celebrated for its versatility and ease of use, allowing musicians to tailor their sound to their preferences.

Microphone for soprano recorder

This minimalist setup uses the same configuration as the Sigo, featuring a lapel microphone with a Rode AI-Micro preamplifier and Positive-Grid Spark-Go for reverb and amplification. Positioned close to the whistle, the mic enhances gain while minimizing background noise. The microphone is secured discreetly with 1.5mm piano wire for stability.
